www.demac.org/

In 2020-21, the Owl RE team of Glenn and Lois  carried out a major research study on diaspora humanitarian response for DEMAC, an initiative of the Danish Refugee Council funded by USAID. The study was comprised of three case studies (Pakistan, Somalia, Ukraine) and two real-time reviews  (2021 floods and landslides in Timor-Leste and COVID-19 in Tunisia)- with a highlights report produced. The research project mapped a total of 108 diaspora organisations globally and collected feedback from 150 diaspora and stakeholders. Glenn and Lois were supported by a team of national consultants:  Dr Rawaa Salhi (Tunisia), Sabina Fernandes Seac (Timor-Leste), Dina Volynets (Ukraine), Guhad Adan (Somalia) and Neelofar Shahzad  (Pakistan).
